For a long time, I as an artist, as well as a person, have always been fascinated by the human form, as well as the various ways it has been displayed and depicted throughout time. My curiosity reached a new peak when I first discovered the gorgeous paintings of the Baroque period. The drama and beauty these works displayed immediately caught my eye, and I instantly desired to create, as if I were another apprentice of the Baroque from long ago. This series is the current culmination of my research into the Baroque style of Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio, and my attempts to use the modern technique of photography to pay homage to this ancient aesthetic.
